Session 19 (Vanedir)

We start the session still in a fight

Vanedir immediately takes a crit

We very quickly kill them

Follow the ratman that escaped down another tunnel - there are lots of tracks in the chamber, but less going down this tunnel

As we reach the end of the tunnel it opens out, we hear shouting, and someone dying.


Katerina and B'Rock fail their stealth rolls, and we're told to come out

A semi-living area or office space

Desks, wardrobes, other assorted furniture

Two people visible - one in plain clothes human "very french", the other wearing full plate and brandishing a greatsword.

Calls the place his burrow


Durnivir approaches, triggering an attack, Katerina is stabbed in the back, and combat begins

The backstabber is a gnome that can cast spells

B'Rock unleashes a torrent of fire at the frenchman, dealing more than 30 points in one go

Durnivir gets shot by an elf in the shadows

The man in plate slashes him badly, then Durnivir teleports over to the elf and fails to hurt him with D.A.V.E on account of D.A.V.E being a mundane weapon.

Katerina gets her revenge on the backstabber by ending him


B'Rock smacks Vanedir in the back of the head with a flaming ray

Vanedir heals himself and exchanges wild swings with plated man

Plated man sandwiches Durnivir with the elf, Durnivir teleports away and heals himself with a potion after a healing word from Hoffi


Vanedir and B'Rock pin the elf and the plateman into a corner - the elf dies while trying to run, bisected by an opportunity attack from Vanedir.


Left alone, the man in plate doffs his helmet, and transforms into a werewolf, then runs.


The approaching footsteps shows three figures in similar clothing to the mooks coming down the corridor.

A halfling, a gnome, an elf.


Most of the gang chases the werewolf, but he's dashed down an escape hatch hidden behind a wardrobe and is gone

Vanedir reaches a damaged chest first and rummages, getting a plain band, a necklace, and some scrolls, seemingly resealed letters.

The necklace has a rune and what appears to be a closed eye on it.


As the werewolf is gone, we go back to finish the other three

Whilst discussing how werecreatures can take damage from gravity due to gravity's magical nature since anything not sufficiently well understood is indistinguishable from magic, B'Rock takes a critical hit and goes down


B'Rock is tripping while he's down

Seeing himself in a tunnel of vines hearing nothing but cackling and fear


We ping-pong his health

The rest of them run away besides a single mook that gets killed.

Nothing left in the room to take, we head after the werewolf out the secret exit
