Charles showed up some time after we awoke in hospital

During the 4 days we were alseep

3 nealonus guards found dead in the street, all stripped of anything useful, 2 days prior to us reawakening

Sending stones no longer work as some have been taken

The day before we woke up, the town mayor, who spends much time in nealonus, was publicly assassinated outside the cathedral in northern Barthon

The candidates going to vote following his assassination:

Gnome, Polson Tundras Orthan, deals in alchemical and magical supplies, "PTO" involved with the papers and buying out houses in Barthon

Human, Tiberius Belimas Midoras, "TBD". Corrupt landlord, was on the papers, prior owner of the dogs B'Rock stole. Contracts were predatory and had a slave clause.

Tiefling, Marvin Lawson. Philanthropist. Entrepeneur. Set up a charity that's been helping the homeless. Unknown background, inherited a large sum from a grandfather that passed who was a merchant in the city.

Human, Gralys Kaerden. Many people wanted him to run.

Voters would gather in the northeastern quarter of the city, in front of the cathedral, and a community vote would be held

Vote to be held in a week

Mayor's assassin was not captured, 2 arrows, one through the heart, one through the throat, two separate directions.

The two cathedrals are to the god of the seas, and to the god of trade

Waukeen, goddess of trade/commerce/money

We go back to sleep and rest for another day

The spell aids our recovery, and we're fully recovered by the next morning

There are still some scars, but otherwise hale and hearty

Durnivir has lost an eye, B'Rock has a crack in his shell, with some of his spiritual fire glowing through.

Katerina has a scarred arm, Vanedir has a scarred chest

As we leave, we find Leo and Griffon - B'Rock goes for a swim in a duck pond in a children's park, kills and eats a duck in front of the children, scaring them

We head off to meet Charles again for better planning of how to proceed

As we move, we notice less homeless people on the street; at least half as many

Pamphlets around, saying for the homeless to go to lawsons to be fed and housed

Even some helping them to go

Some guard presence

We arrive at the barracks, and the guards are more active around it.

We make our presence known, and go up to charles

Ask about what work he has in mind for us

1) Monster mash - the adventurer's guild where we were TPK'd by Tarloc

2) SW Cathedral - Where the mayor was assassinated

3) The street - Where the guards were found dead (

The cathedral in question is related to the god of the seas

Some kind of congratulatory event related to a new ship being completed - done with the purpose of bringing the mayor nearby?

The street where the guards were killed used to be popular, but in the past week all the businesses had been bankrupted or run out, the guards were investigating shady figures seen there.

Ambushed by a large group, left dead in the middle of a busy street with the civilians nearby completely unphased by them being there.

We mention the sewer passages, Charles will get them investigated

B'Rock looks at the sending stones

Tries to cut off the connection to the three stolen stones

We decide we'll head off to investigate the cathedral and the street.

Takes a couple of hours to get there

The closer we get, the fewer people we see

A large guard presence holding a perimeter around the site of the assassination

Not many believers heading in and out of the cathedral, despite its importance to the populace of the city

Inside are water features all over the walls and ceilings, not magical in nature for the most part

Tyrenician, the triton demigod, has a statue dedicated to him in the centre of the cathedral

We're given a suspiciously detailed description of his appearance, as if we might see him in future when we're on the sea, perhaps going to the continent.

Before the statue is a figure bowed in prayer, in a white shawl that covers them.

The figure is a fair skinned human.

We tell them about wererats, they look at scrolls, start ritual casting against a talisman to replicate magic of the full moon to reveal lycanthropy
