Session starts with a long rest, levelling us up

Dawn breaks halfway into the rest

10am ish for end of rest

A hawk glides down to the group at the bottom to feed on the griffons

Katerina befriends the hawk

If they share a weed brownie, two birds one stone?

No magic items in the nest

Vanedir gets strips of blood from the corpses

Climbs down with B'Rock in different methods

Forgot to cremate the corpses, fuck

"Nothing says I love you like having to slay your brother's ghost"

Vanedir takes Pernus' plate armour on the way back down

We make it down the mountain without much more damage (katerina falls 10ft)

A few hours more to reach the bottom of the mountains, half a mile from waypoint

About 3pm

The barkeep at waypoint has a note for us from nilus

"Headed onto Nealonus to sell the goods you brought, as well as find somewhere to store the dogs. Please come join me ASAP, I'm at The Gilded Ripoff in the merchant's district."

No carriages to go there - so we leave on foot

Crazy frog noises ensue

Vast farmlands, no trees

We reach the city after 6 hours

Pitch black, with lights being lit throughout

Grass changes to cobble underfoot

The city walls stretch to the horizon in each direction

Not many guards, lots of people mingling

The guards that are seen, fully covered in silver plate, broad shields and halberds, swords on hips, patrolling in pairs

They have a crest of the city - a dwarf, elf, and human hands interlocked within a circle. Upon their breasts and shields

Purple cloaks and plumes

As we proceed to the city gates, we approach the guards blocking the way.

We're allowed to pass upon explaining our business in the merchant district

One massive guard, 8ft in height, stops Mahala, a Goliath who trained with Mahala in Kethomis.

Prag Ironskull.

Some idle banter as Mahala and Prag catch up, he gives us a hasty map to get to the Inn.

We get there with no issues.

Massive building, gilded, magic blinking torches lighting up a massive sign on the front.

There's a doorman, an aarakocra, in a suit, like a bouncer.

Ask for Natasha for help if we can't find Nilus, Nilus' "favourite"

There's a number of patrons, some accompanied by women, others just enjoying food and drink

First floor is a large catwalk and pole

Second floor, another bar, rest of the room is closed booths

We find nilus, he's passed out in a booth by himself, nude

B'rock creates water over his head

Silliness ensues, and finishes

He has a tab at the tavern around the corner. The Lucky Penny.

Katerina speaks to the hawk some more

Gives the bird some alcohol

We get to the Lucky Penny

There is a plant room that B'Rock goes to hide in

Long rest

Day 9 begins

Even more hawk business

Durnivir goes to a shop to buy armour and sell a stick

He leaves the stick behind and gets no armour

Mahala buys pitons, and goes to meet up with Prag at the barracks.

They discuss recent happenings

Prag mentions trouble on the continent, a summoning (Yeenoghu) - a task force was sent to deal with it, they engaged, then the earthquake and the rest occurs.

Increased thievery around the city, affecting everyone

Prag recommends visiting the University and the wizards tower (what's left of it??)

B'Rock wakes up, sees the city, hides back in his plantpot
